Pre-Fall 2012 has been a flurry of fashion excitement. With most collections sending me into a tizzy, I had trouble narrowing the count down to these three [plus Celine which I already feature here]. Matthew Williamson, Chloe and Thakoon: all so unique, yet innovative and inspiring. I crave the newness when the seasons change, and this is it my friends! Wondering and waiting for a glorious fall.
Matthew Williamson
He knows what I want and need: basics with that necessary pattern and embellishment. Military coats and oversized, printed sweaters, tailored silhouettes, rich jewels tones and fur. This collection beckons the harlot in all of us, never leaving the party or room without someone wondering…what is she wearing?
Chloe
If you’ve been reading this blog for any amount of time, you know about my love affair with Chloe. Trim and chic, this collection updates the wardrobe basics through playing with proportions and print. Ensembles to look like the proper, modern lady…but with an edge.
Thakoon
Continuing the trend of playing with proportions, Thakoon brings us a magnificently realized new form of femininity. Pops of color on the lip and electrified hair pair well with the moderately subdued color palette and modern construction of the garments. Ensembles for the daring, yet somewhat reserved woman who doesn’t mind a bit of texture and whimsy with her morning routine.
